New York DMV didn't issue 'no name given' commercial driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants
A rumor began to spread online that the state of New York was issuing "no name given" commercial driver's licenses. The claim began to spread after Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt posted a photo of a license on social media and accused New York officials of handing these out to "illegal immigrants.”
However, a "no name given" mention on a commercial driver's license is an indication that its holder has only one name, not that the person is undocumented. Reporter Anna Rascouët-Paz has the details.
