Here's context behind rumor Walz once appointed Minnesota shooting suspect to advisory board
A rumor began to spread that Vance Boelter, the man suspected of shooting two Minnesota Democratic state lawmakers and their spouses — killing one of the couples — on Saturday, had once been appointed a member of the Governor's Workforce Development Board by Tim Walz.
Many of the commenters on a social media post about the claim took it to mean the Democratic Minnesota governor was an accomplice in the killings. "Five bucks says Walz is directly implicated," one wrote. Snopes reporter Anna Rascouët-Paz has the details.
