Is TSA checking passengers' phones for 5 apps? Here's what we know

According to an online rumor, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration was checking phones at airports for five specific apps. In one popular YouTube video, an alleged flight attendant warned passengers about TSA conducting "electronic device examinations."

When we looked at such footage, we detected visuals, audio narration and text that had been AI-generated. Senior reporter Jordan Liles found the truth behind the claim.
