Snopes adds 7,000+ paying members this quarter, breaking 16,000!
Snopes has added more than 7,000 new paying members so far this quarter, a 78% increase in our total subscriber base.
We are eternally grateful to see our community stand up to help Snopes during this difficult time. Advertisers continue to pull back their budgets with so much uncertainty in the economy.
Here are the benefits we have added for our paying members:
Rate or submit priority topics you think we should fact-check.
Snopes mobile/tablet app with unlimited articles and games.
Ad-free browsing on the Snopes website and mobile app.
A members-only newsletter with a behind-the-scenes look at our operation.
And, most important, is that members are supporting fact-checking and independent journalism. With platforms deprioritizing fact-checking and AI ramping up misinformation, I believe we need this more than ever.
Did the FBI warn California officials about an Iranian drone threat? Why didn't the news media report it was an "unverified tip" until after it was already seen by millions of people? Did the U.S. bomb an Iranian girls' school? It's important we all know the full truth in these situations.
Join more than 16,000 premium Snopes members and help support the mission of stopping dangerous misinformation.
