A rumor that spread online claimed a federal judge halted President Donald Trump's White House ballroom construction project.

In December 2025, the nonprofit National Trust for Historic Preservation sued the Trump administration, arguing the project began without necessary approvals or congressional authority. Reporter Nur Ibrahim inspected the status of the project.
