Unpacking claims Trump's 'DoorDash Grandma' was paid actor, testified at previous hearing
On Monday, Trump greeted Sharon Simmons — who was wearing a red "DoorDash Grandma" T-shirt — as she delivered two bags of McDonald’s to the Oval Office. “This doesn’t look staged, does it?” Trump joked, before holding a news conference with Simmons about his “no taxes on tips” policy in the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”
Social media quickly flooded with claims about Simmons, including accusations about her being a “paid actor” who had previously spoken publicly about Trump’s budget bill at a congressional hearing.
Snopes senior reporter Jordan Liles investigated the rumors, uncovering a blend of true, false and unverified information.

Bill Gates isn't backing 'Brain Honey,' other alleged Alzheimer's remedies. They're scams
For months, readers have asked us whether tech billionaire Bill Gates is really behind products that claim to treat Alzheimer's disease or dementia and are flooding their social media feeds. These supposed remedies are marketed under names like "Brain Honey" and "Mind Boost."
