Is Enrique Tarrio an ICE agent? Checking claim about DHS leak
After a reported data leak that supposedly exposed the identities of roughly 4,500 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol employees, social media posts claimed that Enrique Tarrio, the former leader of the far-right Proud Boys movement, was among the names leaked.
Snopes reporter Laerke Christensen investigated the rumor and found that while Tarrio's name did appear in a watchdog database tied to the leak, he wasn't listed as an ICE agent.
