Real videos show confrontation between Alex Pretti and federal officers days before his death
Following the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti at the hands of federal immigration officers in Minneapolis on Saturday, new videos surfaced allegedly showing an altercation between Pretti and federal agents 11 days before his killing.
We found the video was real. Pretti's family and their lawyer confirmed the authenticity of the videos. Snopes reporter Laerke Christensen broke down how we verified the footage.

Social media posts shared a sensational story claiming the FBI and ICE conducted a raid in Minneapolis that uncovered a sophisticated tunnel system beneath a luxury mansion supposedly owned by prominent immigration attorneys.
According to the story, agents seized 2.64 tons of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamine; found $18.7 million in cash; and arrested 96 suspects across more than 60 raid locations. Reporting fellow Aleksandra Wrona dug into the claim.
