Investigating claim DHS runs official X account from Israel
Shortly after a new X feature revealed where accounts on Elon Musk’s social media platform were posting from, a rumor began to spread that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security was running its official account from Tel Aviv, Israel.
The rumor spread prominently on X, where some posts claimed the platform turned off the feature 20 minutes after the location of the DHS account was exposed. Reporter Anna Rascouët-Paz investigated.

As winter approaches many U.S. regions, an image spread online that alleged to show an Alaska tree frozen in ice that formed a peculiar fungi-esque shape.
Users on social media platforms like Facebook, X and Instagram shared the image, with some astounded by its beauty and others suspicious of its authenticity. Reporter Joey Esposito dug into the truth behind the tree.
