Snopes is 99% of the way to its goal of 15,000 paying members

We are almost there! Only 200 members left to add, and we’ll reach our goal of 15,000 paying members.

Once we hit our goal, we should be able to cover a shortfall of ad revenue and break even each month. Then, we can start thinking about the future.

We are giving thought to possible goals we can shoot for once we pass the break-even point. One idea is to hire additional staff to cover the weekends so Snopes can do fact-checking seven days a week. Another idea is to expand our coverage of topics (i.e., sports rumors, health claims, etc.). Let us know which idea is more important to you as a member.
