Snopes surpasses goal of 15,000 paying subscribers (member update)

An update for Snopes members.

Snopes surpasses goal of 15,000 paying subscribers

Great news! Snopes has now surpassed its goal of 15,000 paying members.

This was the number I estimated we needed to cover the shortfall of ad revenue and break even this year.

I would like to personally thank our readers for stepping up and joining us during this difficult time. And an extra thanks to those members that also donated on top of it. I see them come through and it makes a real difference for us.

With the U.S.-Israel attack on Iran over the weekend there was so much misinformation I wanted us to look into, but we need more resources.

We want to expand our staff and potentially start covering weekends, at least during times of crisis. And there has been a lot of crisis lately.

Once we get to 20,000 members we are planning to start expanding.

Keep Snopes Debunking

We need your continued support to continue our fact-finding mission.
